Swapping murder for mutiny
03 March 2008, at 7:37 pm

My last entry was about interviewing for a book. It was a phenomenal experience. We interviewed people for 12 hours a day. At night, I would research. In the morning, I would wake up with the book subject fresh on my mind. It lived in my dreams.

From Colorado, I flew to Texas to work on an entirely different sort of book. While one book was about murder and the occult, the other is a book about countries for children.

I think it'll be a year before this current book is published...so many other things are demanding my time...but I am getting more excited as each chapter is completed.

But the truth must be known -- I'm more afraid for the final product than anything else. I have a publisher already, so I'm not afraid of that rejection. I'm more nervous about the critical response. Will kids like it? Will parents? Will it be a success? Will it be a giant leap forward in my publishing career?

And with that, back to writing....
