The Second Week
08 November 2005, at 11:46 am

We're married now..into our second week together. I feel like we've already begun to settle into a comfortable pattern, even though life is not "ordinary" just yet. (Not that I even want ordinary.)

We've set up our apartment, chosen which side of the bed to sleep on, and programmed the coffee maker. The rest will come eventually.

Even only a couple weeks into this new stage of life, I've discovered that marriage definitely changes a person. I think I'll even become a (gasp!) morning person...slowly but surely. Paul's morning stretches much longer than mine ever did. Mine used to be as short as possible: the smallest (time) distance between two points--pillow and work.

But now I'm beginning to appreciate a leisurely morning, and may even begin drinking green tea to match his propensity for hot coffee.

Yes, it all sounds so horribly boring in print. But it's truly fantastic. I highly recommend it.

More to come later...I've renewed my committment to write. Ahh...yes.
